Huarun Dadong Dockyard, China: the last converted vessel from VLCC to VLOC ( Ore Fazendao) has been successfully completed for Vale in China as per the specification and special requirements of the owners and sailed on 29th January for her maiden voyage as a VLOC, with all work completed and clean certificates, under the command of Capt. V.K Tyagi. Capt. Melcy Lobo who was on board from the beginning of the conversion and contributed greatly to its success, signed off after all work was completed after handing over command to Capt. Tyagi.

Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries, South Korea: delivery of ms “MOL Gratitude”/”Hans Schulte”, hull number S511, the seventh from the series of ten 5.600 TEU container vessels, capable of super slow steaming thanks to ME turbo charger cut-off system, contracted in the Yard by Bernhard Schulte (hulls: S505, S507, S509, S511, S513) and by Peter Doehle (hulls: S506, S508, S510, S512, S514) and chartered to MOL.
God mother for the vessel, Ms.Tinaz Mirza, daughter of Capt.Firoze Mirza, Managing Director BSM (HK), has named the vessel on sunny day of 16th January 2012 during the official naming ceremony in Mokpo.
Vessel will be managed by BSM (HK).

K.S.Yanase Industries Co., Ltd, Korea: delivery of “Pride Marampa”, Floating Offshore Transfer Platform for transshipping iron ore cargo contracted by London Mining Ltd. at K.S.Yanase
Industries Co., Ltd, Korea. Structure of the barge was constructed at Wendeng Jinlianglai Ship Fittings Co., Ltd, China (owned by K.S.Yanase), while rest of the works, including the prefabrication and installation of cargo transshipping system (Utiltech design and prefabrication) were carried out in Yanase, Mokpo, Korea.
FOTP, classed to ABS, with length over 90 meters, has got minimum discharging capacity of 20.000 tons/day of iron ore concentrate in waves of up to 1,5 meters in height and wind force less than
5,0 Beaufort scale.
On the 19th January "Pride of Marampa" has been issued a Certificate of Approval for transport as dry cargo onboard the deck of the Dockwise Performing Vessel which is now proceeding from the Port of Mokpo, South Korea on a voyage via Sunda Straits and the Cape of Good Hope to Freetown, Sierra Leone. The estimated time of arrival in Freetown is 42 to 43 days or approximately March 2nd or 3rd, wind and weather permitting. Following arrival in Freetown the Dockwise Performing Vessel will discharge “Pride of Marampa” via float off method and immediately commence technical commissioning, crew familiarization and training, followed by operational commissioning so as to be in all respects ready to perform transshipment operations any time after March 16th.
FOTP will be operated by our colleagues form BSM (India).
